Swimsanity®INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

How do I become a Swimsanity® Instructor?

The first step is to enrol on the online Swimsanity® Instructor Training.

You can start the online course immediately. There are no prerequisites to becoming a Swimsanity Instructor, although a fitness or dance background is always a plus. Anyone 18 years or older may attend a Swimsanity Instructor Training.

Are there any prerequisites?

Yes; a participant must be 18 years or older to attend any Swimsanity® Instructor Training. 

What is Swimsanity® Instructor Training?

Swimsanity® Instructor Training will teach you how to deliver a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) aerobic and conditioning workout in the water.

You will learn how to utilize Inter-changeable drills- giving your participants an effective, mixed ability, aqua-fitness experience every time!

You will have the confidence to deliver constant feedback to keep your participants motivated and ensure technique is correct.

How long is a Swimsanity® certification of completion (license) valid?

The Swimsanity® Instructor certificate is valid for 2 years.

How do I renew my certificate of completion (license) if it expires?

 If your license has or about to expire, you can retake the our Swim Skills HIIT Refresher CPD Instructor Training. This course provides a new and different insight into the Swimsanity experience. By retaking the Swim Skills HIIT Refresher CPD Instructor Training, you'll not only renew your certificate, you'll get a fresh perspective on teaching Swimsanity classes. This course reviews the basic steps and will also renew your license for another 2 years. No practical assessment will be required.

What happens after the instructor training? When can I start teaching?

After completing the Instructor Training, you can begin teaching whenever you feel comfortable and ready. Every instructor is an independent contractor, which gives you the freedom to set your own schedule, rates, terms, agreements, etc. at any facility you choose.

 

Although the Instructor Training shows you how to teach, you may need to practice on your own and take time to choose the right selection of music.

Some fitness facilities require their instructors to have a general group exercise certification.  Ask your local fitness facility what their requirements are in order for you to teach at their facility.
